- Make, model, variant and model year
- VIN (chassis number): the most important detail. It lets the vehicle's exact configuration be identified. It is on the registration certificate and on a plate on the car.

- Current mileage
Module Information
- Which module is involved, if known: engine, gearbox, body, ABS, airbag and so on
- Part number and hardware version from the module label. For a replacement, provide both the original and the new unit's numbers.

- Whether the original module is still available. Its data may be needed.

- Fault codes or a scan report, if you have one

Documents for Security Procedures
